Resident Evil 7 has abandoned many of the canons dear to the series, but the bosses remain, as well as their extreme difficulty. In this chapter we will have much less pyrotechnic and spectacular cases than in the past, but we will always find an iron will to detach the flesh from the bones.
Here are some handy tips on how to defeat bosses in Resident Evil 7.
Mia Winters on the attic
You will meet Mia several times at the start of the game, but this will be the first time you can actually fight her. Defeating it is very simple: start walking around the rooms and close the doors behind you. In doing so, Mia will have to stop and break them and you will have time to shoot him in the head.
Direct advice to those who are playing asylum: only shoot in the head. Shooting elsewhere will not be enough shots to take her down.
Jack Backer in the garage
This boss fight can be played in two ways:
- As soon as you enter, run to the table on which a toolbox is placed and open it to get the car keys. With the latter you can get into the car and run over Jack.
In asylum mode the box will be closed. You will then need to find the lock pick (it's on another table in the garage) and use it to open the box.
If you happen to be too slow, Jack will throw you out of the car and start driving it. In this case, get as close to him as possible so that he cannot run over you and fill him with stab wounds, after a while he will give in. - If you don't want to use the car (and save the lock pick in madhouse mode) you can go around the car and shoot Jack in the head a fair amount of shots. After a while he will get in the car and you can stab him.
Jack Baker in the basement
This boss fight will fulfill the erotic dream of some. During the fight you will literally find yourself facing a sober one-on-one duel with a chainsaw.
Before entering, we advise you to retrieve the shotgun pump (find out how in our weapons guide). As soon as Jack throws you down, equip the rifle and shoot him in the face as soon as he reaches you. Use the parry wisely to lose as little life as possible and continue with the shotgun. At some point he will become a kind of indescribable heap of meat and junk, take the opportunity to unload everything you have on him.
When he gets up he will go to the chainsaws, take advantage of it again to shoot him all over (he will ignore you, but don't physically hinder him or he will literally butt you). While he collects his chainsaw, you can collect yours. From here on it's up to you, hit hard and dodge.
Marguerite
The boss fight will begin when you go up the stairs, so explore the surrounding areas thoroughly before entering. Try to memorize all the holes in the floor and on the walls, because during the fight Marguerite will use them to take you by surprise and then escape.
Now go up the stairs and if you have (like me ed.) The terror of insects get ready to die inside. Marguerite will present herself to you in a robe terrifying: on all fours with arms and legs terribly deformed as if to form the legs of a spider e a hive in the pelvic area.
Shoot the latter until it escapes. Look for it until you find it attached to a wall and shoot it with the flamethrower in order to damage it and at the same time break the hive it will leave on the wall. Keep doing this until this sick nightmare disappears.
The monster in the barn
This boss fight is quite simple. The monster in question will appear once you insert the missing battery. The elevator will go up and with him the boss. Don't stand in front of the door or you'll get massive damage in the face.
The tactic against this boss is very basic: use his slowness to hit him while backing up and attack it with fire (flamethrowers and incendiary grenades).
Jack Baker transformed
This abomination will surprise you on the dock. The boss's weaknesses are quite visible: his eyes. If you have ammunition from the grenade launcher, use it, since with the explosions you could destroy even more eyes at the same time.
The arena is divided into two floors, use them to better position yourself and destroy every single orange eye.
The two monsters underground
Laurel and Hardy are nothing more than an advanced version of the monster in the barn. The way to beat them is the same, only being two will make it more complicated. Use the column in the room to create distance between you and the bosses.
Obviously, focus your focus on one and focus on the other only once he is alone.
Escape the mines
This isn't a real boss fight, but it probably is the most challenging phase of the game. Don't fossilize on enemies or they will pile up and you won't be able to escape. Run and, if you have them, use the remote bombs to make room among the enemies
Final Boss
Bring at least 3 medical kits. You unload all your paraphernalia on the boss's face, who in response will do you much less damage than he will receive and, as long as you check your life often so as not to risk dying, you should be able to take him down without too much difficulty or abstruse tactics.
