In closing the announcement of the highly anticipated Mass Effect Legendary Edition, Electronic Arts has made official that BioWare is working on a new title in the franchise. The project is in the early stage of development and at the moment there seems to be no other information about it.
BioWare unfortunately, it is in a rather critical phase of its history. The past of the software house is dotted with undisputed masterpieces including Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II: Shadows Of Amn, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the Dragon Age trilogy and, of course, that of Mass Effect.
Mass Effect: Andromeda didn't turn out to live up to the original trilogy, however, Anthem, well, it would be superfluous to remark the disaster it proved to be.
In short, BioWare's resume needs a good shake to be able to return to the glories of the past and although the last Mass Effect did not go as hoped, we hope that the announced new game will be a great return to origins, both for the series and for a once glorious software house.
