Nintendo announced this morning theacquisition of a development studio: It is Next Level Games, Canadian team born in 2002 and always a partner of Nintendo. In fact, among the titles developed there are Punch-Out !! (in its Nintendo Wii version), the recent Luigi's Mansion 3 and especially Mario Strikers Charged.
A news that certainly makes the antennas stand up to the many fans who have long been asking for a new Mario Strikers, a title that involves Mario and his companions in 5-a-side football matches. In the official press release relating to the acquisition by Nintendo, it is explained how this new scenario will serve the Japanese company to ensure the total availability of the development resources of Next Level Games, together with the experience in the field of its members. The acquisition will also lead to a improvement in the speed and quality of production, thanks to closer communication and the addition of members from the Nintendo development team.
The acquisition of Next Level Games will be closed on March 1, 2021, with minimal impact on the fiscal results of the large N.
