It's been over two months since we last heard of Payday 3. Starbreeze studios, who was looking for twenty-six million dollars in July now has announced that the title is indeed in development.
The campaign for the financing of the game must therefore have worked, despite the difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This is good news for all fans of the series, who were wondering what happened to the project. Payday 3 is expected to come out no earlier than 2022, and now the developers are all on the design. According to the official Payday 2 Twitter account, in fact, the third chapter will abandon Diesel Engine in favor of Unreal Engine.
It is undoubtedly a necessary change, considering that Diesel Engine was an obsolete graphics engine and that the Epic Games engine is undoubtedly more performing. Remember that Payday 3 could be released during - or after - 2022probably on PC and next generation consoles.
