But how to overcome the 5-star raids (those at maximum difficulty but from which to get the strongest Pokémon)? We explain some tricks to make things a little easier, so that you can overcome these battles on Pokémon Sword and Shield even together with other NPCs, who certainly do not shine for their intelligence in the moves used against the enemy.
The raids of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield are described, for difficulty and power of the wild Pokémon, by stars: a Pokémon with a high value of stars will be very strong and, in the case of a 5-star raid, we will have at least 4 IV guaranteed at 31st, a useful value to take into account for Pokémon in the competitive.
In Pokémon Sword and Shield, the trainers who will join us during the raids will have Pokémon at an equal level to 70% of ours: The best thing is to make sure that you go into the raid with a Pokémon at level 100, so that you can have teammates with Pokémon at level 70.
To better prepare for the battle, it will be important to upgrade the chosen Pokémon in its main statistics by purchasing vitamins at the Pokémon Center in Goalwick. The Pokémon used should also be one of the three legendary games: Eternatus, obtainable in the final stages of the main story, equipped with the Cannon Dynamax move that removes double the points if performed on a dynamaxed Pokémon, or one of Zacian and Zamazenta, featuring the unique moves of Majestic Slash and Majestic Strike. In this case - being able to choose - it is preferable to select the exclusive of Pokémon Sword, Zacian, as it has the Indomitable Sword ability that increases its attack once it enters the field.
The best choice, however, overall is that of Eternatus, because in addition to the possibility of using an exclusive move that increases damage against Dynamaxati Pokémon, it is possible to assign the tool Slow choice (which can be found in Spikemuth, next to the stage where you face the gym leader) who Increases the power of Special Attacks of the Pokémon it is attached to by 50%.
