When Super Smash is first started. Bros Ultimate we will only be able to use the eight characters available in the first incarnation of the atypical Nintendo fighting game, dating back to the glorious era of Nintendo 64. Unlock each of the 74 characters present in Ultimate (with the only exception of the Mii warriors) means having to beat each opponent in 1 vs 1 matches which will occur on a regular basis.
More or less every 10 minutes a new challenger will appear, but if you are anxious to unlock each character as quickly as possible, you can restart the game after each match to enter the battle against a new opponent at the end of any melee.
In case of defeat, do not worry: you can face the characters who have defeated us, avoiding the permanent inclusion in the roster, by going to the section of the main menu "Games and more". At the bottom of the section, you can find the icon of a door, you just have to select it to face again the fighters who defeated you in the past.
Here, too, the timer to be able to make a new attempt is set to 10 minutes, but as before you can restart Smash Bros. Ultimate, wait a single minute and fight again against the most stubborn characters on the roster. As for Dlc characters, such as the highly anticipated Piranha Plant, we still don't know if they will simply be added as playable or if we will be called upon to defeat them.
