Bethesda has recently released a short trailer that anticipates the contents of TES Online: Blackwood, the new expansion of The Elder Scrolls Online, and the event it is part of: Gates of Oblivion. The new chapter will bring players back to the atmosphere of Oblivion and will be set about 800 years before The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, in territories that fans of the series already know very well.
The release of this expansion is currently scheduled for the month of June, on the occasion of the annual event, but Bethesda has decided to anticipate it with the release, in March, of the DLC Flames of Ambition. The latter will be characterized by the presence of new dungeons dedicated to the threat of Merhunes Dagon, the Daedric prince of destruction, which we have already learned about in the other chapters. It remains to be seen what, in addition to TES Online: Blackwood, the other expansions Bethesda has planned for Gates of Oblivion.
For the moment, however, it is certain that the software house intends, through Flames of Ambition, to introduce romance in its MMORPG and a system that allows players to have an NPC as a follower.
In the classic chapters of the series, the characters could indeed initiate s with some NPCs, but in TES Online this detail was absent. This, probably, is one of the reasons that prompted Bethesda to introduce romance, also adding the possibility of having companions (also present in the original chapters). We remember that for the moment TES Online: Blackwood does not have a specific release date and it will be necessary to wait for new news from Bethesda.
