A very short return from the amazing showcase of Resident evil village of last night, concrete rumors are already arriving a port of Resident Evil 7 dedicated to next-gen versions. As already revealed, however, the new chapter of the Capcom saga is the sequel to RE7 Biohazard, the first game in the series to use a first-person point of view.
RE Village will also arrive on old-gen consoles on May 7th . According to the well-known insider-leaker Dusk Golem who has always followed everything related to the franchise, there would already be a plan for a next-gen patch, therefore a version of the previous chapter expressly dedicated to the new hardware.
To be sure, during yesterday's world presentation, which showed a lot of the Resident Evil Village coming up, there was a pre-order digital bundle for Village and the current Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition which includes the base game and all post-launch DLC, without specifying what kind of next-gen version. It is quite strange therefore that they did not mention a patch planned for that game. We just have to wait in the coming weeks, as well as for the rumors about a VR version that could redefine standards.
