Here's how to best furnish your virtual home.
Among the many aspects that characterize the adventure of the islanders in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there is also a system that evaluates the ability of the players to furnish their home in the best way: in this regard, a score is provided on a weekly basis (by mail) provided by the organization Academy of Fine Homes.
But how does this system work and how can you go about increasing your rating? Here is a guide that explains everything you need to know.
There are many factors taken into consideration in the Nintendo Switch title: it is first of all essential to have some basic elements such as a chair, a table, a wardrobe and a bed, arranged in any room (not necessarily the same) of the house. Even the walls must be filled, sprucing them up with clocks, wall lamps, signs and many other objects.
In addition to the use of different objects, it is also important to use products belonging to the same or set or, alternatively, to try to furnish with products of similar colors (in this case the personalization function is particularly useful).
It should also be noted that they exist in Animal Crossing: New Horizons special items capable of increasing the score, such as paintings donated by the inhabitants (increasing the level of friendship), or the same trophies received by the Academy of Fine Homes. Finally, in order to obtain the maximum result, it is advisable to have your house developed at the highest level, in such a way as to have more space to arrange a greater number of objects.
The principle of Feng Shui, which sees an increase in the ABC score in the case in which a house is furnished following these rules, or by placing in any room:
- How many more objects with a predominant yellow color in the squares adjacent to the left wall and the following ones going towards the center (therefore two columns of squares).
- How many more objects with a predominant red color in the squares adjacent to the right wall and the following ones going towards the center (therefore two columns of squares).
- How many more objects with a predominant green color in the boxes adjacent to the wall at the bottom and the following ones going towards the center (therefore two columns of boxes).
As you can see in the drawing, these colors will intersect at the corners, providing more points in case you are able to place an object with both colors.
How the points system works
The points system in Animal Crossing: New Horizons provides different thresholds, which correspond to different levels:
- Below 39.999 points - Level B
- Between 40.000 and 50.000 points - Level A
- Above 50.000 points - Level S
Not only a ranking, but also prizes are guaranteed for the most skilled islanders in decorating their home:
- 10.000 points - ABC pennant
- 20.000 points - ABC bronze plaque
- 30.000 points - Silver ABC plate
- 50.000 points - Golden ABC plaque
- 70.000 points - Bronze ABC Trophy
