In order to complete one of the three main questlines of Assassyn's Creed Odyssey we will be called to defeat four mythological beasts of ancient Greece and recover the artifacts they guarded in order to seal Atlantis.
Medusa is located on the island of Lesbos, but to enter the boss fight we will first have to head to the small town of Ereso and find Brice.
The secondary mission offered by Brice is to be able to save his beauty from the clutches of "meandering terror". We will therefore have to recover the disk capable of opening the access located in the petrified valley of Medusa's lair.
The mission offered by Brice, "Romancing the stone garden", will see us sailing to the island of Chios to steal the artifact from the daughters of Artemis, so we are ready to face the creature.
Fighting this boss requires first of all a high character level and adequate equipment, as Medusa and her minions are level 50. A level 47 character should have no problem dealing with our petrifying enemy.
The fight against Medusa is divided into two phases: during the first we will be called to defeat a small contingent of petrified soldiers while medusa, wrapped in a sphere of invulnerability, will throw us petrifying glances. To survive the first phase, just take cover behind one of the multiple columns in the arena.
In phase two we will be able to confront Medusa directly, it will be enough to properly weigh attack phases and strategic retreats to get the better of the creature. Phase one and phase two will be repeated several times, moving an otherwise all too linear battle.
