Shoot down the spy planes and other vehicles
Traditional Scorestreaks include spy planes and helicopters, both of which are great strategies for blocking the enemy team with high rate of fire and short breathing. Then when you see these vehicles appearing put into operation by the opposite team, take them down as soon as possible. Always keep a missile launcher handy, which certainly speeds things up.
Use the covers
The time-to-kill, ie the time lapse between the first shot fired and the actual confirmation of the downed enemy, in Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, is quite low; Cold War maps also offer several locations perfect for ambushes and flank maneuvers. Always put something between you and the wide open spaces at the heart of these new maps, thus making it difficult for the enemy who tries to locate you. Avoid open spaces and large areas, at all costs.
You don't always have to aim
Aiming, we all know, is a slow process: it's fine over the long haul, but in multiple short-range situations, it could make the difference between life and death. Many weapons are very effective even when used "from the flank", but take as a rule that if the enemy is closer than 3 feet, firing without aiming is the way.
Take some time to organize your loadouts
You will be unlocking custom loadouts very soon and, we heartily recommend it, start fiddling with them right away. The maps of Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War are also dealt with differently depending on the loadout, so test and be ready to switch as best you can to take advantage of the weaknesses of the opposing team.
The Stimshots will save you
The “Top Man” loadout integrates an object you will become familiar with very soon: the Stimshot. If you know you are not the player who, in the middle of the game, uses grenades or smoke bombs, rely on the Stimshot: you will often find yourself against an enemy as weak as you who, like you, goes into cover to catch his breath, but comes out thinking he is in front a hostile to be knocked down with a couple of shots and instead you are there to welcome him, you have just treated yourself with a Stimshot. Imagine the surprise.
