In the third level of the new Bethesda title Doom: Eternal, Cultist Base, are present 17 objects scattered throughout the base. Some objects, such as modbots and code entries, automatically appear on the map as you browse. On the other hand, a hidden object or a secret will not be displayed, unless you happen to be nearby. Only in this case will a white question mark or a mobile question mark appear on the map in the game world.
In this guide we will show you where to find all the hidden objects in Doom Eternal's Cultist Base: two toys, two Sentinel batteries, an album, a secret fight (the other is along the way), a Praetor Armor Point and a cheat code. To find the Empire Key of this level, we refer you to our dedicated guide. Below you will find maps, locations and explanations on how to reach each question mark and secret in this level of Doom Eternal, Cultist Base.
Location of toys in Cultist Base
There are two toys in Cultist Base.
- CULTIST BASE // TOY 1: GARGOYLE
Taking this toy is not that simple. You'll find him sitting on top of a giant horned skull in the first open area at the start of the mission.
To start, jump off the giant spine and suspended dash to the launch pad. As you float, turn around and grab the climbing ledge. Project yourself towards the climbing wall avoiding the electric mines. Climb to the top of the wall but don't climb over it, making it up to the ledge.
Turn left so that you are facing the suspended horned skull. Jump and dash on the skull to get the first Gargoyle toy.
- CULTIST BASE // TOY 2: SOLDIER (BLASTER)
After getting the Super Shotgun back, make your way through a room full of enemies. Once done, you will fall into a corridor full of blades and enemies. Halfway through the tunnel, turn to see a destructible grid, which you just need to break to get the second Soldier (Blaster) toy.
Location of the cheat code
There is only one cheat code to be found in Cultist Base.
- CULTIST BASE // CHEAT CODE: IDDQD
After getting the Shotgun back you will enter a room which is basically nothing more than a gallery of enemies. After breaking all the locks that reveal all the enemies and defeating them all, the structure in the center of the room will allow you to jump into it. Before you do that, you'll find a question mark above the structure with the mission's only cheat code.
To get it, use the swing bars on the side of the structure to jump parallel to the structure. Then turn in midair and then double jump to go back to the cheat code: IDDQD.
Location of Sentinel Batteries
In this level, there are three Sentinel batteries to find. One is along the path while the other two are hidden.
- CULTIST BASE // SENTINEL BATTERY 1
Before you even infiltrate the base, you will likely see this Sentinel battery on a ledge beyond the first battle. To access it, find the ledge in the gallery above by double jumping on it. Fill the vent and punch the green level in the room. This will lower a gate under the bridge which will give you access to the trampoline. Jump onto the trampoline, which will give you a boost, then fall towards the Sentinel battery.
- CULTIST BASE // SENTINEL BATTERY 2
After entering the area where you need to retrieve the Super Shotgun, continue climbing the tower via the moving platforms. Once you get to the top, instead of pushing yourself forward, turn to the area where there are many demons hanging from the ceiling and two boxes with yellow markings on top.
You will see a Sentinel battery hidden behind the gate. There are two mobile platforms, but only one of them will allow you access. Climb it and you will reveal a hidden passage that leads to the chamber where the Sentinel Battery is located.
Location of the album in Cultist Base
There is only one album on Doom Eternal's Cultist Base.
- CULTIST BASE // ALBUM: DOOM II - INTO SANDY'S CITY
In the room with the giant spikes falling from the ceiling, you can see this question mark behind a gate to your left, right after entering. To access this secret, walk to the far end of the room. On your left you will see giant peaks falling into a chamber. When they fall, you can jump on top of the mechanism.
Quickly run to the top of the other spikes and into the room to find the secret album Doom II - Into Sandy's City
Praetor Suit point hidden in Cultist Base
While all Praetor Suit points are located along the path, one is hidden behind a gate. Here's how to get it.
- CULTIST BASE // HIDDEN PRAETOR SUIT POINT
After the area where you will fight snake-like enemies for the first time, head to a path where you will have to fight enemies with shields and, at the end of the battle, you will enter a room where you have to lower the gate to proceed into the next area. Before you leave the tunnel with the shielded enemies, look to your left.
Find the destructible wall, jump up, break it and follow the path to the hidden Praetor Suit point.
Location of secret fights in Cultist Base
There are two secret fights in the Doom Eternal Cultist Base. The first is in plain sight inside a room along the way, but the second is well hidden.
- BASE CULTIST // SECRET COMBAT
You will find the secret combat in the area immediately after you climb more towers. The next place you will go is through a corridor with spikes that can crush you on either side. Before moving there, look to the right to see a room with two mines and a body shield. Behind a destructible wall in that room you will find the secret combat.
