- We customize Corrin's appearance
First of all we will have the opportunity to choose how to make the main character appear aesthetically. We will be able to choose the gender (which will have a minor influence on the names, skills, and weapons of a couple of classes), the build, the hairstyle, the hair color, the type of face, any details (such as moles or tattoos), and the voice.
- We set the value and the defect
We can set a character strength and defect, which will take effect (for the two related stats) at initial stat value, maximum modifier value, and growth value. These are the strengths and weaknesses, including the stat to which they refer:
- HP: Vitality (value), Infirmity (defect)
- Strength: Strength (merit), Weakness (fault)
- Magic: Ingenuity (merit), Dullness (flaw)

We will be able to choose a talent for Corrin that will determine his second class and the alternate class (also called hidden class). The alternate class will not appear in the class list and we will not be able to transform into it, however this class can be given to another character via friendship, seals, or inheritance.
