Heroes of the Storm has reached its version 2.0, and with it new characters such as Genji and D.Va have appeared. In this guide we will explain what are Genji's Synergies and Counters in Heroes of the Storm.
SYNERGY
Genji works particularly well in conjunction with:
- Jaina
- Kael'tas
- Uther
- ETC
Genji is at his best along with Assassins who use Crowd Control moves such as Jaina or Kael'tas, which can help him kill individual targets very quickly in order to get the cooldown reduction on Quick Strike. It also pairs very well with burst healers like Uther who can increase Genji's durability with Divine Shield and armor buffs.

Due to his very low Health, Genji struggles against enemies with Crowd Control which renders him helpless even for a short period of time. Skills like Varian's Taunt or Malfurion's Twilight Dream can cause him big problems. On top of that, ranged assassins with a large attack range like Lunara can force him to misplace and be caught off guard by the enemy team. Lunara is a dangerous enemy because her poison will continue to take effect after the end of Detour. This applies to any type of poison damage.
