How to keep time going in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

How to keep time going in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Sometimes in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild it's important to let the time pass: the rain makes it difficult to climb and some events or animals are only available at certain times of the day, so during the adventure you will often feel the need to speed up the normal flow of time. Follow our tips and find out how to keep time going in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

First of all, you must know that the game does not offer you a comfortable The Witcher 3-style menu to move the time at will, but that it is possible to change the time only in two specific points: in a camp or having Link sleep in a bed.

How to find or build a camp

Camps in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild aren't hard to find - they're usually close to cities, but you'll hardly need a camp already in the game to weather a storm or wait to deal with certain events. The most effective solution is to build the camp where you need it best. To do this you will need some wood, to be recovered simply by cutting down a tree: cut the trunk to obtain a pile of wood and collect it.

Once you have obtained the wood, you will need fire: the fire arrows, which in this guide we explain how to collect, are a solution. Alternatively, you can use the flints that you can extract from deposits scattered around the world of Hyrule. Just place the wood in a dry place and hit it with a fiery arrow, or drop a flint and hit it with the sword to have your fire and consequently your camp.

    How to find a bed

The second solution to passing the time in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is to lie down in a bed. You will find a bed in all cities, for a fee: once you have paid for the room you can decide at what time of day - or night - to wake up, and you will do it with all your hearts regenerated. When Link is far from civilization, however, the simplest solution will always be to light a fire and sleep in the open.
