With the right tactics they will all fall
During your adventure on Horizon: Zero Dawn you will encounter several out of the ordinary machines. Enemies that are difficult to destroy and will require your strongest weapons to be killed. Each of them has specific weaknesses and precise tactics to follow, but a general advice is to equip yourself with Shadow Sharpshot Bow and the Shadow Hunter Bow.
- Corruptor - The Corruptor is a giant, aggressive creature that has the power to control other machines around him. Before attacking him, eliminate all the weaker minions he surrounds himself with. Once you have killed his minions immediately focus on his weak point located on the top, more precisely near his eye.
The Curroptor has two weaknesses: on weapons it is vulnerable to lacerating damage, while on the torso it will take massive damage from fire. Focus on the weapons to knock them out.
The best tactic is certainly to stay away from him, perhaps placing yourself on a mezzanine floor with respect to him.
- Thunderjaw - This huge T-Rex can be intimidating, but his shots are very slow and easily dodged.
To kill him easily, first concentrate the fire on the weapon located on his left paw with shots capable of inflicting lacerating damage, in order to destroy it and be able to use it against him.
Generally speaking, this enemy is weak against lacerating damage, so make good use of it to take it down easily.
- Stormbird - The Stormbird is essentially a giant version of the Glinthawks. It will be a tough challenge to kill him, as his movements are quite rapid both in the air and on the ground. Use the concentration skill and be careful to seize every useful moment to inflict damage on him, otherwise the fight could last a long time. Bomb him with electrical damage on his wings and once his weak points are exposed shoot him all the arrows you have.
- Rockbreaker - As for the Thunderjaw we are faced with a giant enemy, but very slow and predictable. As with the Thunderjaw so keep your distance and everything will be fine. When he starts shooting rocks, don't run left or right, but move away or he'll hit you anyway.
Focus on its "drill arm" first of all. All its weaknesses are vulnerable to all kinds of damage, so indulge yourself.
- Snapmaw - Once you understand these machines they will be a joke to throw down. On the back they have two cannons protected by an iron shield, hit them until they are discovered. Once discovered, hit them again with flaming ammo to destroy them. Destroying the cannons will cause a powerful explosion enough to kill the enemy in question and any other nearby machines as well.
