It was only a few minutes ago that the avalanche of reviews for Red Dead Redemption 2 began, and while we wait for ours to arrive soon, let's take a look at the gigantic map of the new (undoubted) Rockstar masterpiece.
The starting point of our journey is the Grizzlies, the snow-capped mountains north of the map. It is freezing cold here, which forces Artur to wear his winter coat and keep himself and horse well sated. It is also difficult to explore this area, with the thick snow that weighs down our steps, but these adversities cannot alter the beauty of perhaps one of the most evocative places on the map, especially at full moon.
South of the mountain we find Valentine, the first city we will visit, complete with saloon, gunsmith, butcher and sheriff's office. This is where we will learn the basic game controls and mechanics.
Staying in the north, in the easternmost part, we can find the most populated cities on the coast, such as Annesburg e Van horn. The latter is a commercial place, a great place to spend our hard-earned (stolen) money. In the area we can also observe Fort Wallace, not to be approached if history does not require it, given the many fortifications and defense forces.
To the southwest of the map we find two important locations, Blackwater e Armadillo. The first will be the center of the events for Arthur and the rest of the Van Der Linde gang, the second instead you should remember it from Red Dead Redemption, the progenitor. Further south there is Rhodes, where we will spend time selling moonshine in the local saloon.
Finally, let's go south, where we will find Saint Denis. This represents the largest city in the game, and contains the unimaginable. We will be brought here throughout the story, and it is also where we will find the Trapper and its unique outfits. To the west, that's it Lemoyne, one of the most unique cities on the map, complete with crocodiles and outlaws on the run.
Red Dead Redemption 2 clearly has a lot to say and we are but humble bards of his deeds. Get ready, because we have to tell.
