Rockstar Games is used to insert numerous easter eggs in its works and, even Red Dead Redemption 2 - published on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 - contains some really interesting ones.
Often these are references to characters or elements from other media, as in the case of the vampire from Saint Denis. He is in fact clearly inspired by Nosferatu - Count Orlok from the film directed by Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau - and can be found in the most populated and industrialized city. In order to meet the vampire in Red Dead Redemption 2 it is necessary to first find five strange phrases written on some buildings in the city, but there is no precise order to respect..
FIRST MYSTERIOUS WRITING
The easiest sign to find is certainly the one near the saloon in the infamous Saint Denis district. To find it, all you have to do is look closely at the walls of the building across the street.
Clearly it is necessary to get close enough to allow our character to examine the inscription by holding down Y or the triangle.
SECOND MYSTERIOUS WRITING
Heading to the south-eastern part of the city, it is possible to identify the second of the five writings attributable to Nosferatu.
Finding it is slightly more complicated than it was for the first one and it can help to take a few more points of reference. The message is located at the back of a building, near the train tracks, where there is a butcher and a general store.
THIRD MYSTERIOUS WRITING
The third message is not too far from the previous one and is, in fact, in a sort of internal courtyard near the theater.
The theater building serves as a reference point, and as you move northeast from it, you will find the exact spot to examine the writing.
FOURTH MYSTERIOUS WRITING
The fourth message is also located in the same area and just look carefully behind the building where the gunsmith is located.
The red writing will be visible in the wall of a porch and, once examined, all that remains is to look for the last one before going in search of the vampire of Red Dead Redemption 2.
FIFTH MYSTERIOUS WRITING
The last clue is the hardest to spot, as it is the best hidden one. To find the writing and be able to go back to Nosferatu, you have to go near the market where you usually go to do business with the trapper.
Coming from the main street, you can see an alley which can be accessed by opening a gate. Once inside, on the left you can see and examine the fifth message.
WHERE TO FIND NOSFERATU
Now that all the clues are in place, all you have to do is wait. It seems that the vampire can only be located after waiting three days of play and it is advisable to do so outside the city of Saint Denis, also because the time spent resting is not counted.
You must return to the city during the night (between 23pm and 00am) and, as you approach the point indicated on the map, your attention will be attracted by a scream coming from an alley. Approaching - just look at the x on the map - you will see a man bent over a corpse. At this point a dialogue will start in which you can decide whether to calm or provoke Nosferatu. Regardless of his attitude during the cutscene, he will attack you and it will be essential to eliminate him quickly, given his ability to kill with a single shot. Once Nosferatu is eliminated, it will be possible to collect his decorated dagger, thus obtaining one of the unique weapons featured in Red Dead Redemption 2.
