The Outer Worlds has been available very recently and has already been talked about, laying the foundations for a valid alternative to the Fallout series, as our Donato points out in the EpicTrick review.
The title developed by Obsidian Entertainment is vast and challenging and provides a different ending based on the choices made along galactic journeys through Halcyon.
If, after so many hours spent playing The Outer Worlds, you have come to this guide, you will find all the steps to get the best possible ending. We also have a secret ending, should you choose to create a character with below average Intelligence.
** ATTENTION: this guide presents some substantial SPOILERS **
To get the best ending it is necessary to have high statistics in dialogue and technological skills: to do this you can build your character in a thoughtful way or make use of companions able to increase these statistics. There is also a unique dialogue with choices where a high degree of perception is required, but it seems not necessary to get the best ending.
During the "Brave New World" mission, when you speak to the upper echelons of the "The Board" faction, you will instruct them to stop peacefully keeping in mind that the requirements to have to succeed will be the following (you will have to choose the options with these values when they appear in the dialogs):
- Lie 80, Intimidation 80 or Persuasion 80;
- Persuasion 100 or Intimidation 80, Heavy Weapons 50 and Two-Handed Melee 50 (or a very high Charm value);
- Persuasion 80 and Science 80;
- Very High Perception (optional, you can simply indicate that you are an expert).
As for all the other quests, you will need to make the following choices:
- You get a satisfying ending during the Comes Now the Power quest, it should be enough to get Reed to remain mayor and convince Grace and Thomas to return.
- Beat the Groundbreaker quests to get a venerable reputation, complete "Happiness is a Warm Spaceship" to fix their heating system.
- Regarding the main quest “Radio Free Monarch”, complete the sub-quest “Canid's Cradle” and mediate a peace between the MSI and the Iconoclasts.
- You get 100% Dimethyl Sulfoxide from the experiment.
- Complete all companion quests ("Drinking Sapphire Wine", "Don't Bite the Sun", "The Low Crusade", "Friendship's Due", "Star-Crossed Troopers", "The Illustrated Manual" and "The Empty Man. ").
- Successfully complete the Sublight quests: “Salvager in the Sky”, “Space-Crime Continuum” and “The Ice Palace”.
All these choices and actions will make the Halcyon colony thrive, with an ending that will guarantee the best possible life for friends and allies; you will also be merciful and able to redistribute power among the enemies you encounter.
This secret epilogue of Outer Worlds (or perhaps it would be better to say the stupid ending, ed) can be obtained by following the video and probably avoiding all the precautions of the best ending, but first of all, and as already indicated at the beginning of the guide, we will have to create a character not very awake, with Below average intelligence. Done this, when we have the opportunity we will have to decide to direct the spaceship directly against the sun.
At this point we have all the elements to get the best ending from the title Obsidian Entertainment or to test an "out of the box" conclusion.
