Thanks to the last DLC released by Gearbox Software for Borderlands 2, we will have a chance to get our hands on of new legendary weapons. In this guide we will see how to recover them.
This game is known to have an incredible amount of loot and the latest DLC, Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary, expand this list again. There are new Effervescent items to discover and new bosses to defeat, such as Haderax the Invincible.
We remember that Commander Lilith & the Fight for Sanctuary is free to download on all platforms until July 8, 2019.
The Legendary Weapons
Most Legendary weapon drops are linked to a specific quest or boss battles, so they require a minimum of grinding. For some of these weapons you will need you have completed Chapter 6 and you will find most of them from The Backburner characters.
As many of these missions are available towards the end of the DLC, we must warn you that from now on, the guide will contain SPOILERS. You are warned.
Let's get started and delve into the world of Borderlands 2 again:
Amigo Sincero - Mission BFFFs
Go to The Backburner and look for Brick, he will give you a quest entitled BFFFs. He will ask you to collect parts of a sniper rifle so he can build one gift for Mordecai. To find these parts, you'll need to take down four lieutenants in different locations and loot their bodies.

- Tetra
- Hoffman
- Angvar
- Bolson
After collecting all the parts, go back to Brick there will ask to deliver the gift to Mordecai. Once the request is complete, return to Brick one last time to receive the reward l'Legendary Sincere Amigo.
This rifle has quite high damage and accuracy, 50% melee damage from the bayonet and + 250% weapon damage.
Hector's Paradise - Echoes of the Past Missions
To get the legendary pistol, you will have to complete the mission Echoes from the Past. You will be able to access it after reaching Chapter 5, so keep going the Dahl mine until you reach the Mt. Scarab Research Center.
As you make your way in and down the stairs on the left, a quest marker should appear. You should then be able to find a dead body e an Echo to interact with that will allow you to start the mission.
There are others three Echoes to find inside the Research Center. You should find them easily progressing through the main mission, but here are the exact locations:
- Take out the enemies in the room, Candidate Detention and a cell door will open, revealing an echo
- In the Experimentation Room, there will be a body with an Echo over the meat grinder
- On the Observation Deck, you will be able to see a walkway through the windows. Go up the steps until you meet a ladder that you can use to find the echo
Once you have the three Echos, you will be asked to go to a room through the stairs leading to the Observation Room. You will find a safe inside the room, so give it a melee shot to complete the mission. In exchange, you will receive the legendary Hector's Paradise pistol.
The weapon has very high damage, decent accuracy and a remarkable reload speed. It also has a 15% chance of electrocution and deals substantial shock damage per second. IS very effective against shields and, when in zoom, it fires in bursts. Like the Amigo Sincero, it has a bayonet for melee attacks.
Overcompensator - Chief Executive Overlord mission
The legendary Overcompensator Shotgun is a talking weapon from the game Tales from the Borderlands who shouts serious encouragement to the players, as well as intervenes constantly in conversations when equipped. Interesting isn't it?
You will be able to get it by completing Vaughn's Chief Executive Overlord mission after the last DLC mission. If it doesn't appear at first, continue completing its research until it spawns.
So that Vaughn you become the best bandit, you will be in charge of collecting some special tips to help him.
First you need to talk with Moxxi, then with Ellie, Brick, Marcus and Claptrap. After that, pay Vaughn another visit and he will ask you to find his artifact of power. Return to The Backburner to reach Vaughn, hand him the boxers and receive the Overcompensator. The weapon comes with a damage multiplier, 4 × 4 weapon zoom and being in prolonged fire will improve your accuracy.
