After defeating the first Colossus of Shadow of the Colossus you will be teleported back to the hall of idols inside the Shrine of the Cult. The voices will prompt you to look for the cave by the sea, which is not far from your current location.
Exit the Sanctuary and, once in front of the entrance, raise your sword and immediately you will notice that the blue light beam will show you to proceed north. Follow the guiding light, which will direct you to ride in the direction of the huge bridge that dominates the horizon, the very one you crossed at the beginning to reach the wastelands where you are now. Just under the large bridge, to the left, you will find another smaller one, also made of stone, which crosses a large crevasse. Take it and, when you cross it, moving the view downwards you will see the sea and the beach just below you.
After you have reached the end of the bridge, follow the path to the right which, going down, will take you to the seashore. Then head towards the wall always to the right and at this point The Mammoth, the second Colossus of Shadow of the Colossus, will literally explode from the rock wall pointing in your direction.
The Colossus's first weak point is right under his feet so you'll have to wait for him to raise them before attacking. You can hit the weak point both from the front but also from behind the Colossus, the important thing is that you wait for a free field. In these circumstances the bow is the most effective weapon because you can attack while keeping a certain distance without risking being trampled by the Colossus; moreover, hitting under the foot of the beast turns out to be practically impossible with the sword. In any case, we advise you to target the weak points of the hind legs so that when he falls to one knee, you can climb more easily on the leg to reach then the “rocky” spine and continue to the head. It is also possible to climb from the front legs, but the subsequent climb will be longer and more difficult.
Once you are hung on his body the Colossus will do everything to make you fall, therefore always remember to hold on tightly to its fur with R1 when the beast starts to shake vigorously.
After the long climb on the body of the Colossus and along its entire rocky spine you will finally reach the head, where the second weak point is, always illuminated in blue. At this point, charge the attack with the sword and keep hitting until the mark no longer glows; doing so will reduce the Colossus' health to about half. At this point you can move on to third and last weak point of the second Colossus of Shadow of the Colossus.
Go back along the rocky spine towards the coccyx where you will see the weak point. Charge the attack with the sword and keep hitting it until the Colossus falls, defeated. By completing this second challenge you will unlock the “The Mammoth” trophy.
