In Yakuza: Like a Dragon you don't have to worry only about yourself, but also about your bizarre adventure companions: it is therefore not enough to fill yourself with Stamina Drinks as in the previous chapters, but you will have to buy weapons and objects for all party members, to ensure that they are always well equipped.
In addition to this, in the chapter 13 there is a moment in which to proceed, you will be asked 3 million Yen, a brutal stop in the progress of those who may not have made money a priority, at least up to that point.
Business Management
We are talking about the mini-game introduced in chapter 5, initially called Ichiban Confections. So be careful with the tutorial: essentially you have to manage different properties, such as shops, restaurants, night clubs, and the like by investing in them and hiring staff. The goal is to make a profit right from the opening: then all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the flow of money, perhaps worrying from time to time to update the salary of some discontented employee.
This mini-game is certainly profitable, but meetings with shareholders will be needed to really get money into Ichiban's pockets and therefore into yours.
Meetings with shareholders
After a handful of openings, you will be prompted to hold a shareholder meeting, a mini-game that reaches high levels of frenzy and essentially sees you racing against the clock to convince the aforementioned shareholders that their money is in good hands and that the various businesses are performing as expected.
The basic mechanics of the mini-game is to use members of your staff with a certain area of expertise "against" a shareholder who has the same competence: this "breaks" their attack and allows you to take away their health. Be careful because each member of the staff will use resources to lash out at the corresponding shareholder, an action that will consume the resources: to recover part of them and gain some time you can use the "sorry" mechanic, the important thing is that in a minute and a half have achieved the maximum possible shareholder support percentage.
Successfully finishing this Yakuza: Like a Dragon mini-game will allow you to collect ever larger amounts of money, this time directly into your pocket.
From Ichiban Confections to… Ichiban Holdings
As the amounts of money increase, Ichiban Confections will be able to become Ichiban Holdings, and this is where the figures really matter. The basic mechanics don't change, but the mini-games get harder. Completing a meeting with shareholders, in this case, can bring you up to 600.000 Yen in earnings per meeting. Our advice is to farm some already in chapter 5 and then come back to this mini-game every now and then, so as not to make it a heavy grind in the face of the chapter 13 block mentioned above.
Substories
There is no Yakuza without secondary missions and Yakuza: Like a Dragon is no exception: funny little parentheses, yes, but a source of considerable income, especially at the beginning. We suggest you do one of these as soon as possible, which is the one that unlocks the thrift shop, the only location where you can sell items.
A fistful of dollars
Another suggestion we can give you is to grind as much as possible the fighting in the arena that is unlocked during chapter 12. By now, once you get there, you should have well understood how combat works, so you shouldn't find too much difficulty for the most of these battles, some even repeatable thanks to a generous checkpoint system.
